November 15, 2023 | Five Signs Someone is an Egomaniac
1. Someone brings a group together, promising the persons in said group opportunities only to selfishly try and take them for themself. Often after failing at their own opportunities. When called out on it, they begrudgingly deliver opportunities while displaying jealously and bitterness. Or they act happy but connive against the persons, often discreetly or through jokes.
2. Someone gets their publicly expressed desire to have a stronger group courtesy of others and initially reacts with irritation because they want to make all the decisions. When they are reminded they are getting exactly what they have publicly said they want, they accept it to fuel their own ego by taking all the credit for the things others did to make the group stronger.
3. Someone leads a group like a dictator. Common traits of such a person include speaking for others who can speak for themselves and making decisions for others without their consent.
4. Someone does a selfless act to benefit themself instead of the person they do it for. Often they will claim it was part of their long-term plan even though it wasn't.
5. Someone driven by ego who thinks they do no wrong. They don't learn from their mistakes, continually digging their own grave. Such a person does not deserve redemption or to become the hero of their story while the persons they selfishly used are wrongfully painted as villains for standing up for themselves against the egomaniac. Redemption Exception: If say the Egomaniac wronged two persons and one was willing to give them a second chance, MAYBE the Egomaniac could qualify to qualify for redemption.
