Chapter 1 Part 3 | The Nightmare Begins

August 8th 2022. WWE Monday Night RAW. Dakota Kai, Bayley and IYO SKY came out to a cold reception from the Cleveland crowd who didn't appreciate them. They gave one back to the disrespectful crowd. Bayley insisted the RAW women's division needed her trio to shake things up and light a fire in the competitors whom she feels became complacent. They're bringing back the hunger! Last week was only the beginning. Later, Dakota and IYO will compete in the first opening round match of a tournament to crown new WWE Women's Tag Team Champions.

We all know Bayley is very passionate about the division. So she got emotional when the crowd jeered her for expressing it. They even tricked her into calling Dakota SKY by not letting her concentrate. Bayley was just pointing out facts: How she saw greatness and hunger inside Dakota and IYO that would benefit the division. She was rightfully hurt this crowd didn't. Dakota calmed Bayley down, stating the crowd doesn't need to be told anything else because IYO and her will show them when they advance in the tournament and ultimately win the tag titles.

Bianca Belair, Asuka and Alexa Bliss decided to rudely disrupt their television time looking for a fight. Bayley didn't want to do it on television because that's a Premium Live Event match. So she issued the challenge for a six woman tag team match at WWE Clash at the Castle in Cardiff on September 3rd 2022. Bianca accepted, however she's impatient and didn't want to wait so her trio attacked. Dakota, Bayley and IYO don't mind a fight so they fought back. The trios brawled around the ring and even into the crowd until the gaggle separate them.

The brawl fired Dakota and IYO up which would give them momentum heading into their tournament match against Tamina and Dana Brooke. Tamina and Dana didn't appreciate the trio interrupting their pre-match interview. Bayley noted she was half of the first WWE Women's Tag Team Champions -- unlike Dana who didn't know anything about being a former tag champ. Tamina reminded Bayley that she did. Dakota -- who was part of the first ever NXT Women's Tag Team Champions -- said mockingly that she'd see "the champ" out in the ring.

Before taking her leave, IYO reminded Tamina and Dana that she doesn't like them. But let us be honest: IYO SKY doesn't like anyone. I hope Dakota and Bayley are exceptions. Moments later, Bayley accompanied Dakota and IYO to the ring for their match. This was not the first time Dakota and IYO had teamed up. However, it had been quite a while -- all the way back at an NXT House Show in December 2019 where they lost to Rhea Ripley and Mia Yim. But prior to that they had some success as a team in NXT on occasions in 2018.

Dakota started off the match for her team, finding herself getting worked over by Dana. They collided hard so Dana tagged out. Tamina tossed a reluctant Dakota's earlier words back at her, luring her into two upper palm strikes before taking a shot at IYO. Dakota received a suplex that sent her to the floor. IYO went to check on her partner, both being felled by a crossbody off the top from Dana. Fortunately, Dakota and IYO would take charge moments later.

IYO and Dakota kept control with an impressive sequence. It started with Dana getting whipped to Dakota by IYO. Dakota nailed Dana with a pump kick. IYO caught Dana with an innovative leg sweep. Dakota caught Dana across the neck with an ax kick. Finally, IYO ran the ropes and came back at Dana with a dropkick. IYO followed up with a sideway press into the corner and springboard double knees. IYO tagged in Dakota who wore Dana down with a chinlock.

Dana tried to fight free but Dakota ceased her effort with a hard throw to the canvas followed by a cover for two. Dakota's face expressed some doubt -- those pesky voices better not be trying to make a comeback -- but Bayley encouraged her being the leader she is. It figured at that moment the crowd would start a Bayley sucks chant. They aren't chanting that at Dakota because THEY KNOW she doesn't suck. But Bayley doesn't either. Now they are just being mean to be mean.

Dakota went for a huracarrana but Dana countered it into a powerbomb. Dana stacked Dakota for the pin but Kai made a strong kick out to state she was still in this. Dakota dragged Dana over to her team's corner to prevent her from making a tag. IYO tagged in and tried to cut Dana off from a tag only for Brooke to overpower her and slap Tamina's hand. Tamina brutalized IYO with her power and crashed Dakota to the floor with a superkick. IYO came back with some impressive offense including a shotei but Tamina ended it with a superkick and Samoan drop.

Tamina went for a cover but Dakota made the last second save. Dakota reverse whipped Dana to the outside, however she dragged Kai to the floor and laid her out with a forearm shot. Dana cartwheeled toward Dakota who was sprawled against the barrier. Bayley heroically pulled Dakota out of the way! Dakota made a tag to IYO while Tamina was trying to prevent her superplex. Tamina noticed and kicked Dakota off the apron before headbutting IYO to the canvas. She flew off the top with a big splash but IYO got her feet up to block it.

Dakota waffled Tamina with the scorpion kick followed by the Kaio-Kick. IYO tagged in and crushed Tamina with a moonsault to score the pinfall victory for her team. Bayley celebrated with Dakota and IYO who had advanced to the semi finals. Later on that evening, the trio had choice words for potential semi final opponents Asuka and Alexa Bliss. But the evening was not done for Our Captain and her friends. They graciously gave a few minutes of their free time to appear on WWE Network post-show RAW Talk.

The Captain of Team Kick stated some facts: "In the short amount of time that we've been here we have created fear in this division. We have controlled this division. So it doesn't matter if it's Nikki and Doudrop or Asuka and Alexa, alright. The fact of the matter is: None of them can hang with us. And none of them can lace our boots."

Interviewer Sarah Schreiber said the word wait which lit a fire in Bayley. She made it clear they had waited long enough. A valid point. Especially Dakota Kai and IYO SKY. Now they were done waiting. The trio can't wait for WWE Clash at the Castle where they'll make their opponents pay for what they feel they have done to the women's division. Bayley ended the interview making it clear the division is now theirs and so are the tag team titles. No disagreement here.
