November 20, 2023. Grand Rapids, Michigan. Van Andel Arena. Monday Night RAW. Becky Lynch managed to defeat Xia Li, however not without taking a pounding. Damage CTRL graced RAW to confront Lynch ahead of WarGames. Charlotte, Bianca Belair and Shotzi were stalking them like the creeps they are, even attacking The Ladies from behind like cowards. Dakota Kai watched on as IYO SKY, Kairi Sane, Asuka and Bayley brawled with Becky and her team.

November 24, 2023. Allstate Arena. Chicago, Illinois. SmackDown. Bayley acted like a buffoon. Becky Lynch goaded Bayley into involving her Damage CTRL stablemates in a tag team match without their consent. Some things never change. Dakota Kai, IYO SKY, Asuka and Kairi Sane were rightfully pissed off because WarGames is in 24 hours! They got strategy to discuss, not time to waste with some warmup match forced upon them by their own stablemate.

To the surprise of not even a jackass, Bayley tried to foist off the tag team match to pairings of her three Joshi stablemates. She even defended her buffoonery claiming it was to make the opposite team implode due to that well-known bad blood between Charlotte and Becky that didn't need any stirring from Bayley to get boiling since it was already clearly present.

WWE Women's Champion IYO SKY had Dakota Kai relate to Bayley that Bayley must compete in the match she alone caused to happen... partnering with Asuka. The Empress of Damage was dementedly thrilled. Bayley wasn't. This is what Bayley wanted though. She literally proposed to Asuka last week to join the group. Bayley should be honored to team up with a Living Legend.

Leave it to Bayley, as usual shrugging off responsibility after her big mouth gets her stablemates into a mess. If she's the leader she claims to be, Bayley should have offered herself up. Meanwhile, egos and tensions were boiling backstage between Becky and Charlotte as they prepared to face Asuka and Bayley. Shotzi got Charlotte to talk to Becky to ease tensions. Bianca did the same to Becky to talk to Charlotte. Is this high school? Becky and Charlotte made good with each other.

Bayley shockingly put her ego aside so all of Damage CTRL could come out together as a united front. Charlotte came out with Shotzi and Bianca to Charlotte's music. Becky came out to her own music and joined her partners in the aisle. They may have eased tensions between them, however they clearly didn't ease those egos. Bayley and Asuka jelled as a team, controlling most of the match. The match came down to Becky giving Bayley a Man-handle Slam. That might have been a win for her team if Charlotte didn't spear Asuka right into the pin to break it up because she clearly wanted to score the winning fall herself.

Becky got rolled up by Bayley to score Asuka and Bayley the win. Dakota, Kairi and IYO cheered! Asuka helped Bayley to her feet... What started as Bayley's mess evolved into a beautiful new sisterhood between The Living Legend Asuka and Bayley. My heart jumps with joy to see this! The Ladies concluded their march to WarGames stronger together while Becky and Charlotte had tense words, after which Lynch sulked off like a big time crybaby.

On The SmackDown LowDown, Bayley predictably took a few moments to brag about the opposing team's implosion versus Damage CTRL's unity. Then came a moment for the ages. A moment etched in the Chamber of Fate. It's no fable... Bayley actually showed humility, thanking her champion IYO for making her accept responsibility for a change. She used different words, obviously. Bayley is not that humble. Asuka and Bayley getting along and winning has boosted Bayley's confidence for a Damage CTRL WarGames victory.

Dakota related to Bayley that her Joshi stablemates thought her performance was awesome and offered Bayley and Asuka compliments of her own. Whatever The Captain truly means is good enough for this Chronicler. Bayley put her arm around Asuka who declared that nobody is ready for Damage CTRL. The Ladies took their leave to get ready to go to WAR.
