November 5th 2022. Mrsool Park. Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. WWE Crown Jewel 2022. It was a big golden fight night for The Ladies. Dakota Kai and IYO SKY had an opportunity to recapture the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship from Asuka and Alexa Bliss. Bayley had earned another shot at the RAW Women's Championship facing Bianca Belair in a Last Woman Standing Match. Kai and SKY were up first on this huge night for Damage CTRL. All three of The Ladies rocked matching kickass Damage CTRL superhero bodysuits for their gear.

In the early going, Kai countered an Alexa snapmare with an inside cradle but Bliss's shoulders weren't down. Dakota kicked out of a few roll-up attempts, finally staggering Bliss with a back elbow only for Alexa to trip Kai during a whip to the ropes. Kai was lured to the canvas charging at Bliss who then stood on top of Dakota, crudely smashing her face to the canvas multiple times. Bliss followed that up with a charge but Kai cut her off, dropping her throat first to the middle rope. Kai tagged IYO in but Bliss quickly took control, bringing SKY with her as she tagged in Asuka.

The Empress versus The Genius! They fought back and forth, evading and striking. Asuka would again rob us of a lengthier encounter tagging in Bliss. IYO slipped off a double suplex attempt only to receive a bulldog onto the soles of Bliss's boots by Asuka. IYO hung onto the ropes on a whip attempt and landed a kick to Bliss before tagging Kai in. Unfortunately, Bliss immediately grounded Kai with a dropkick. Asuka was tagged in and the champions sent Kai and SKY from the apron to the floor with stereo hip attacks followed by stereo baseball slide dropkicks.

Asuka rolled Kai back into the ring and climbed to the top rope. Kai charged right into a kick. The referee went to check on Dakota and IYO smartly took advantage, springboarding to the top rope and trapping The Empress in the ropes with a dropkick. Dakota violently freed Asuka to the floor with a shotgun dropkick. IYO tagged in as Asuka slowly made her way back into the ring favoring a knee. SKY relentlessly went to work on Asuka before tagging Kai back in.

Dakota would showcase her submission skills locking Asuka in a knee bar as IYO held the rope back to keep Asuka from reaching it. The Empress would free herself kicking Kai off. But Kai quickly took the lead back, tagging in IYO who fought Asuka's comeback strikes off with a dragon screw. IYO and Asuka exchanged strikes but again The Empress's comeback effort was felled by a flapjack from SKY. Kai was tagged in and Asuka got whipped to the corner by the challengers. But Asuka fought their attacks off and grounded them with a double bulldog.

Asuka tagged in Bliss who unleashed a barrage of offense on the challengers. Kai tried to retaliate with a pump kick but Bliss caught her leg and smashed her with a knee strike. IYO tried to come to Dakota's rescue only for both Kai and her to receive a basement dropkick from Bliss. Kai found herself hung over the middle rope and the recipient of double knees from Bliss followed by Alexa's grounded flipping knees and senton combo. Bliss followed with a tornado DDT and made a cover but IYO broke up the pin to save the match for Damage CTRL.

IYO showcased excellent teamwork, dragging Dakota to their corner to tag herself in. Bliss charged for an attack but IYO cut her off with a double underhook backbreaker. IYO was ready for Over the Moonsault but Bliss grabbed her leg and tripped her to the canvas. Bliss followed up with a sunset flip powerbomb for a two count. Alexa climbed to the top rope but was cut off with a SKY Shotei. IYO climbed to the second rope followed by Dakota. They hoped to deliver a double superplex but Asuka intervened, dropping all three with a Tower of Doom powerbomb.

Bliss and SKY managed tags to their partners who had gotten back to their respective corners. Asuka connected with a missile dropkick from the top rope on Kai for a two count. Dakota evaded a German suplex with a back elbow but was felled by a succession of back handed strikes, one kick, a knee and lastly a codebreaker. Dakota stumbled to the ropes catching herself from toppling down. Asuka went for a running hip attack but Kai ducked, going for a charging big boot. Asuka caught her with a bridging German suplex for a two count.

Kai cut off Asuka's charge to the corner by tossing her face first to the middle turnbuckle. As the shaken Empress got to her feet, Our Captain smashed her to the canvas with the Kaio-Kick. Kai went for a cover but Asuka kicked out at two, greatly frustrating Dakota for a moment. Dakota devoured that anger to lift Asuka onto her shoulders for Go to Kick. But Asuka slipped off and cracked Kai's skull with a roundhouse kick before tagging Bliss in.

Bliss went up for Twisted Bliss, however IYO climbed onto the apron in supportive teamwork mode. Alexa ignored IYO's shouting, crashing down on Kai. But Our Captain got her knees up, reeling Bliss to the canvas in pain. Asuka tried to remove IYO from the apron but The Genius hopped over her charge and landed a swinging back kick. IYO springboarded off the apron with an Asai moonsault but Asuka evaded it. SKY stayed afoot and charged Asuka who caught her with a high knee strike to the face.

Kai got planted by a DDT from Alexa giving Bliss another chance to climb to the tope rope. The referee went to break up Asuka and IYO who were fighting their way into the ring. Nikki Cross emerged from the crowd and dropped Bliss with a rope hung twisting neckbreaker. Did Dakota and IYO know? Who freaking cares! Asuka and Bliss once did that type of stuff so consider this a dose of their own medicine. Dakota rolled over and saw Bliss on the canvas, covering her for the three count. IYO SKY and Dakota Kai are two time WWE Women's Tag Team Champions!

One victory attained. Now would come Bayley's chance to sweep the night away for The Ladies. Sadly, The Ladies luck would not continue as Bianca retained the RAW Women's Championship in a brutal war. The Role Model and The EST brought the violence. It was blow for blow. Insane moment for insane moment. I still believe in Bayley. I still believe in Damage CTRL. Our Captain and The Genius got their gold back. It's still destined The Role Model shall get hers.
