Evie came to Melbourne City Wrestling in August 2014 to represent Team New Zealand against Team Australia in front of a proud Australian crowd who didn't welcome her kindly. Evie was still a beloved babyface in most places, however back home in New Zealand she had taken a darker turn, going heel for a bit as part of The Investment. Her trip to neighboring Australia for MCW Clash of the Titans saw her darker side stay in tact. Evie's opponent would be popular rising star Toni Storm -- at that time a bubbly girl who wore a Panda hat and loved to dance.

Storm and Evie would begin their night as flag bearers for the male teams representing Australia and New Zealand during the opening tag team match. They would take a leave prior to the opening bell to prepare for their match later on in the show. The darker colors of Evie's gear reflected the change in her since joining The Investment. She developed a nastier attitude not just toward her opponents but the fans as well.

They started out with a series of reversals and evasions before Evie found herself firmly on the canvas after a big boot and neckbreaker. Evie was sent over the corner onto the apron with a whip but hung on, only to crash to the floor after Storm waffled her with a big kick. Storm did not let up, diving between the ropes and hitting Evie with a tope before mashing her head into the ring apron three times. Toni was not done on the floor, whipping Evie so hard into the barricade Evie and it momentarily fell onto some of the ringside fans.

Evie took control with a running PK from the apron. Back in the ring, she slumped Storm in the corner with a boot choke, setting her up for her favorite boot rakes and running face wash combo. Storm leapt over Evie as she came at her in the corner, taking her to the canvas with a rolling German suplex. Evie kicked out and quickly took back control with a big boot. The match spilled onto the apron where Evie attacked Storm with a series of knee strikes and a choke. She sarcastically apologized for the choke: "My bad. The rules are a bit different back home."

Storm was pushed to the canvas by Evie who arrogantly went for the win standing over her with only one foot on her. Toni kicked out at one. Evie choked Toni on the mat before delivering a snapmare and kick to the back. The Kiwi took off running, hopping over the Aussie and striking her with a savate kick as she landed. Storm made a comeback with a forearm strike, engaging back and forth kicks and forearms between the two. Both found themselves on the canvas after they hit each other with roundhouse kicks at the same time.

Toni got to her feet first taking control with two dropkicks and a codebreaker followed by a double knee strike in the corner. Evie countered a double underhook move, canvassing her opponent with a snap-of-a-kick to the back. Storm reversed a whip, sending Evie to the corner where she clobbered her with an elbow strike. Toni ran back to the opposite corner to deliver another but was cut off by Evie's charging Yakuza kick.

Evie lifted Storm onto her shoulders for TTYL but Storm countered it into a double underhook facebuster for a two count on the cover. Storm's comeback was cut short as Evie kicked her to the canvas and ascended to the top rope for Coup-de-Evie. Storm moved away. Evie kept her balance only to be unbalanced seconds later by Toni's air raid crash that brought the Aussie a pinfall victory.
