Evie hadn't been seen in Melbourne City Wrestling since her loss to Kellyanne at MCW Fifth Year Extravaganza on November 14th 2015. The Captain of Team Kick had spent time competing in Japan and the United States. On July 9th 2016, it was time for her to return to her second home down under to settle some unfinished business.
MCW Winter Warfare 2016. The MCW Arena in Essendon. She came right for her archrival Kellyanne, stopping her from doing serious damage to Erika Reid. Kellyanne wanted no part of Evie that night, taking her leave from the MCW Arena. But at MCW Fight to Survive there would bo nowhere to run as Kellyanne had to team with newcomer Avary in a tag team match against Reid and Evie. Kellyanne was hardly thrilled to be partnered with Avary, bossing the bratty competitor around during their entrance.
It was Kellyanne who started the match for her team against Evie only to quickly tag out before even locking up. Avary and Evie jockeyed for control. Evie took it, clobbering Avary with a back elbow and smashing her into the second turnbuckle. Boot scrapes to the face and the running face washed followed. Erika tagged in and the two delivered a double suplex to Avary. Kellyanne tagged herself in as Avary stumbled to their corner. Erika went for a quick roll-up but Kellyanne rolled through and struck her with a roundhouse kick.
Kellyanne took her focus off Erika, lunging at Evie who fell on the apron to avoid a blow. Her focus turned back to Erika, wearing her down with chokeholds and a suplex. Kellyanne stretched Erika's prone hand in Evie's direction, taunting her. Evie reached her hand out hoping maybe her partner would fight off Kellyanne and tag her in. Instead, Kellyanne pushed Erika to the canvas and stomped on her hand. Evie tried to get a shot in on Kellyanne who only barely evaded.
Avary and Kellyanne actually showed some solid teamwork tagging in each other to work Erika over. Every time it seemed Erika might be close to tagging in her eager partner, her opponents would find a way to stop her. After connecting with a jawbreaker on Kellyanne, Erika was finally able to tag in Evie. But Kellyanne had in the meantime tagged Avary, again avoiding her archrival. Evie connected with two clotheslines and a dropkick. Kellyanne tried to attack from behind, however Evie caught her in the act spilling Kellyanne to the floor.
Evie's hair was grabbed by Avary who quickly regretted it, getting snapmared to the canvas. Our Captain hit the ropes and nailed Avary with a brutal sliding knee to the chest, falling right into a cover for only a two. Evie smashed Avary into the top turnbuckle and connected with the charging Yakuza kick. Erika had tagged herself in as Evie charged past their corner, immediately landing an elbow smash on Avary in the corner. Evie ran back to her team's corner getting obliterated by a clothesline from Kellyanne who was stalking on the apron.
Kellyanne intended to continue her assault on Evie outside the ring. But Evie grounded her with a superkick. Back in the ring, Erika caught Avary's big boot attempt and rolled her up to score the winning fall for her team. Evie and Erika had a congratulatory moment before The Captain of Team F'N Kick chased after Kellyanne who had retreated backstage. Evie was unable to get any further payback that night, however she would have her chance when Kellie Skater and her faced Kellyanne in triple threat match at MCW Uncensored 2 later that month.
