Shimmer Volume 82 saw Evie return to singles action after competing in several tag team matches. She would face an opponent from her PWWA days in the form of Australian Shazza McKenzie. Only a week prior they had teamed up at Shine 35 suffering a loss to Shine Tag Team Champions BTY. Neither held any resentment over the loss heading into this match. It appeared the world would get a good sporting contest between the two former rivals.

They jockeyed for control to start winding up in the corner. Evie broke clean. They locked up again with Shazza elegantly countering into a headlock. Evie escaped Irish whipping Shazza to the ropes. Shazza shoulder tackled Evie off the whip. She took a moment to stare down at Evie with her signature pose. Shazza front rolled to evade Eve's leapfrog and pulled her down into a sunset flip while Eve while still in mid-air.

The two blocked each other's armdrag attempts. Evie swept Shazza into an unsuccessful pinfall attempt. The two were at a friendly stalemate knowing each other's moves so well. They traded smiles but when going to lock up things got more aggressive with Shazza kneeing Evie in the stomach. Evie caught Shazza with an equally aggressive forearm to which Shazza returned the favor followed by a back elbow and neckbreaker.

Shazza evaded an Evie comeback, sliding between the ropes to the apron. She caught Evie with a kick to the stomach. Shazza followed it up with nine kicks to Evie's chest, specifically the Team F'N Kick logo on her shirt. Evie stopped Shazza's top rope effort with a leaping enziguri. She followed it up after an unsuccessful pin attempt with an ax kick and snap-of-a-kick. Evie double hooked Shazza's legs but couldn't keep her down for three.

Evie paid homage to one of her inspirations, Bryan Danielson, applying cattle mutilation. Shazza slithered her way to the ropes to force a break. But Evie struck Shazza down before she could get to her feet with a sliding big boot to the side of the head. Shazza evaded Evie with a cartwheel. They blocked their respective kicks and cancelled each other out with crossbodies. Once they got to their feet they traded clotheslines until Evie took control with a dropkick.

Shazza rolled out of the way as Evie tried to strike her with the charging Yakuza kick. She hit Evie hard in the stomach with a running knee in the corner. Shazza came at Evie who was slumped in the corner and delivered another running knee. Both slid between the ropes to the apron where they traded forearm shots. Evie followed those up with a couple kicks to the chest until Shazza caught her third. Shazza delivered a brutal ax kick to Evie's back.

Evie tripped Shazza to the apron as she tried to get back into the ring. Shazza ducked Evie's PK but Evie struck her with a rebound kick as Shazza turned around. Shazza kicked Evie in the gut to take control and delivered a splits stunner. What? Evie slipped out of a northern lights suplex and used a snapmare to take Shazza down. Evie hit a running kick using Shazza's head for a springboard during the charge. Evie went for the cover and Shazza barely shoved her off.

Shazza caught Evie and delivered a northern lights suplex. Evie fought back hitting the Yakuza kick this time. She ascended to the top and tried Coup-de-Evie but Shazza moved. Evie desperately got to her feet but Shazza ducked her roundhouse kick. Shazza executed a backstabber transitioning right into the dragon sleeper, applying maximum pressure. Evie was forced to tap out giving Shazza the submission win. Shazza extended her hand and Evie accepted. They embraced and bowed to the crowd who cheered on their hard fought efforts.
