Evie returned to singles action against Shimmer veteran Veda Scott. Her gear had a floral motif, however the only planting Evie intended to do was her foot to Scott's head. Evie jumped into the ring, nearly colliding with Shimmer referee Bryce Remsberg (if that is his real name) whom she hadn't seen in some time. She was all smiles giving him a hug. Evie climbed to the top rope to rally the crowd who were solidly behind her. Scott attacked her from behind to kick things off, unleashing a furious assault of blows on The Captain of Team Kick.

Veda had just returned from a tour of Japan, intent on showing Evie who made regular tours there, what they learnt. Scott stood on top their fallen opponent, mocking Evie’s Team Kick salute. Evie took control, backdropping Scott to the apron. Scott hung on, however Evie grabbed and ran them over to the turnbuckles, smashing Veda’s face into the top pad. Evie missed her charging Yakuza kick only to rebound with multiple kicks to Scott's thigh followed by an ax kick. There was no mercy shown as Evie followed that succession with her snap-of-a-kick.

Evie continued her assault on the villainous Scott. She smashed Veda into the turnbuckle followed by boot rakes to Scott's face. Evie intended a running face wash but Scott struck her down with a rolling capo kick. Scott teased a kick to Evie's back after a snapmare, mocking a popular combo of their opponent. But instead they raked Evie's back followed by a basement clothesline. Evie put her High Jump past to use, vaulting over Scott as Veda charged her in the corner. She rolled Scott up with a jackknife cover but Veda kicked out. Scott regained control delivering a big boot.

Veda delivered a flying clothesline off the second rope but a cocky pin attempt failed. Evie was suplexed by Scott who followed the move wrapping their legs around Evie's arms. The Captain wouldn't submit; instead she reversed the hold into a stretch muffler. The hold was broken but Evie remained in control after a forearm battle. After several kicks to Scott's arm Evie struck them to the canvas with her signature scorpion kick. Evie hit the charging Yakuza kick but Scott kicked out. Scott slipped out of TTYL then waffled Evie with a roundhouse kick to the head.

Evie was cradle suplexed though kicked out of a pinfall attempt. Scott attempted a springboard bulldog but Evie anticipated it, instead pushing Veda to the canvas. Evie struck them with a running kick followed by TTYL to score the pinfall victory. The beloved Shimmer Tag Team Champion got her hand raised before slapping some fan's hands on her way to the back.

Later that day, Evie's sometimes rival, other times friend and tag team partner Kellie Skater would have a big moment of her own. Skater would defeat Mercedes Martinez to win the Shimmer Championship. Evie was present for the backstage celebration, joining in on the group hug and patting Skater on the head.
