November 13th 2016. On that cold Chicagoland afternoon, Evie and Heidi Lovelace lost the Shimmer Tag Team Championship. In less than a month, Evie was ready to end her war with Kellyanne in a Last Woman Standing Match in Melbourne City Wrestling. Before she returned down under, The Captain of Team Kick had one more match in Shimmer. It was a chance for her to get some momentum back on her side after the tag title loss. That evening she would compete in a four-way match against "War Queen" Mia Yim, Allysin Kay and Kimber Lee.

After the introductions, the crowd did dueling chants for Mia and Evie that the two competitors encouraged in a fun moment. Allysin took offense to the crowd chanting "Everyone but Allysin!" and stormed to the back. But just as quickly she strut back out and into the ring. With all four competitors present they reached for a four-way test of strength but Kay and Lee put a stop to it and ran the ropes to hit offense. Mia and Evie sent them to the floor with dropkicks. They had no chance to recoup as Evie and Mia kept them on the floor with running kicks from the apron.

Back in the ring, Mia extended her hand to Evie to signal a clean contest between them with their opponents out for the moment. Evie accepted but Mia got crafty, swinging a mean roundhouse at Evie who ducked. Mia likewise ducked Evie's attempted roundhouse. Evie went for another kick but Mia caught her leg and tripped her. Mia attempted an ax kick but Evie evaded and tripped Mia with a kick. Evie went for a snap-of-a-kick but Mia rolled out of the way. Evie slipped a bit and Mia tried for a running kick. But Evie evaded and rolled Mia up for a two count.

Evie and Mia shared a good-natured laugh at the stalemate. Lee and Kay would reemerge pulling their opponents to the floor and smashing them face first into the ring posts. Kay and Lee traded back suplexes and pump kicks until Mia and Evie reentered, waffling their skulls with roundhouse kicks. They would continue this kick party delivering big boots to Kay and Lee. Next up Mia came down on Lee with an ax kick while at the same moment Evie delivered a snap-of-a-kick to Kay. The grand finale would be Evie nailing Kay with a basement enzuigiri while Mia struck Lee with a running PK.

Mia and Evie tried for more offense but got cut off. Lee swept Evie into the middle turnbuckle with a drop toe hold while Kay caught Mia with a powerbomb. Kay lifted Mia up for a sidewalk slam and Lee whipped Evie face first into Mia's boots in a brutal double team effort. To thank Mia for her unwilling assist, Allysin sidewalk slammed her. Rather than go for a win against each other, Kay and Lee made a pinky promise not to. They double suplexed Mia and followed with a double sidewalk slam to Evie.

Kay whipped Evie hard to the opposite corner followed by Mia. Third would be Lee willingly as she struck both opponents with a corner clothesline. Lee turned around and Kay charged in clotheslining her and splashing the others. So much for the pinky swear. But was there any doubt? Lee took offense to the "betrayal" breaking up Kay's pin attempt on Mia. Lee went for a pin on Evie which Kay broke up. The two exchanged blows until Evie grabbed their heads and smashed them together.

Evie delivered clotheslines to Kay and back elbows to Lee. Her offense was halted when Kay dropped her to the mat and applied a leg lock. Lee joined in grabbing Evie's arms and pressing her boots against the back of her skull in a modified surfboard. Mia joined in applying a dragon sleeper to Lee. Evie who was getting the worst of it mustered strength to kick Allysin off. She then brought her leg up over her head and broke Mia's dragon sleeper with a kick to the head. Finally, she countered Kimber's surfboard into a pin attempt but Lee kicked out at two.

Lee stopped Evie from taking control of the match with a pump kick that sent her to the floor. Mia snuck up to the top rope for offense only to be cut off by a forearm and toss from Lee. Evie snuck back into the ring and nailed Lee with the charging Yakuza kick. Allysin ran the ropes and holy-shit-moment pounced Evie up into the air and across the ring. Mia nailed Kay with a shotgun dropkick. Lee ducked a couple blows from Mia and caught her with a back suplex. But Mia countered with a kick to the stomach and package piledriver to bring her a pinfall victory.

Mia Yim may have won the hard-fought match but she would give proper respect where it was due. And for Mia that was to her friend Evie who like always fought her heart out. Mia helped Evie up to her feet and they had a moment before exiting the ring. This would be Our Captain's final match to date in Shimmer. It was around the time of the November 2016 Shimmer cycle where she got an offer that would lead to a new journey in her tale. But first she would return to Melbourne to wrap up some unfinished business.
