Summer 2017. The inaugural Mae Young Classic Tournament. Dakota Kai represented her home country of New Zealand. Prior to the event, Kai was interviewed during the Bracketology and participated in a photo shoot that a lot of 2017 and 2018 B-Roll footage was taken from. She would appear in a few hype videos including the Parade of Champions where all 32 competitors were presented to the audience.
