October 16, 2019. NXT at Full Sail in Winter Park, Floridia. This was the biggest day of Tegan Nox's wrestling career up to this point. She would make her NXT TV debut on cable. NXT's weekly television show had moved from WWE Network to a Wednesday night primetime spot on USA Network in September. The eyes of the wrestling world were on Wednesday nights and this meant even more on Tegan Nox. The day leading up to the match was not without Nox spending time with her best friend and recovery mate Dakota Kai.

Kai and their mutual best friend Candice LeRae watched on from a backstage monitor as Nox won her match. After it was over, Dakota hurried out to ringside to embrace her best friend in an emotional moment. But that feel good moment was about to be crushed by NXT Women's Champion Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir. They were no strangers to Kai. Baszler had mercilessly bullied her throughout 2018. But on this night, both Dakota and Tegan were ready for a fight. The Horsewomen were all bark and no bite, gallivanting off.

Dakota, Tegan and Candice were back together. After Dakota got emotional during an interview for WWE Digital about Nox's return, it was time to have some fun with her best friends. Nox and Kai did some funny poses for the camera. Soon after, Dakota shared an emotional embrace with Tegan and Candice backstage before they made their way outside for some Degeneration X in front of the NXT logo. All was good and right in the world.
