Following getting screwed out of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles on the March 3, 2021 episode of WWE NXT, Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez were crowned the inaugural NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions on WWE NXT March 10, 2021 at Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, Florida. Later that evening, Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon defeated NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez (12:16) to win the titles.
