Nixon Makes Her TCW Debut

April 13, 2014. The Cockpit. Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, UK. TCW Release the Kraken. It was Nixon’s first voyage to Tidal Championship Wrestling. Nixon was just Nixon. The Newell would get added in due time. The young, still learning the ropes Welsh Dragon had not even ten matches on the independent circuit. She would have three more in her TCW debut. Nixon’s first of the night was against Lexi Reckless, whom she would develop both a rivalry and kinship with in the years to come.

Reckless was having her first professional wrestling match, automatically enduring herself to the crowd. Nixon taking a more aggressive approach to welcome the newbie to the scene didn’t endure her to the crowd. But Nixon didn’t care, using her power to brute over Reckless, even tossing in an arrogant curtsy after canvassing Lexi with a hard lariat. Reckless got some spurts of hope, but in the end Nixon cradled her up into a submission, forcing Lexi to tap out.

Later on, Mark Andrews defeated Pete Dunne to retain ATTACK! Pro Wrestling's 24:7 Title. It’s only fitting Nixon would reappear in the ring after a match between two wrestlers who would become integral to her career. She took advantage of the 24:7 rule which dictates a title can be defended impromptu at any time, rolling up Andrews to capture her first pro wrestling championship. Unfortunately, moments later she’d lose it to one of her trainers, Wild Boar Mike Hitchman. A night of success followed by a lesson about the price of it courtesy of her trainer.
