Nixon Newell had won the Queen of Southside Championship from Kay Lee Ray during an Intergender Ladder Match in October. Her first defense would be against Lana Austin at Seasons Beatings. They had fought numerous times in the past three years, trading victories, and even teamed on occasion. Their most recent match had been in November where Nixon advanced in the British Lions Tournament beating Lana in a semi final match.

The crowd enjoyed singing and clapping along to C'est La Vie and even started a chant for it. Nixon danced along to the tune of the chant for a moment before slapping the championship belt for good luck. They took the action to the mat to begin. Lana reversed a headlock into a leg scissors. Nixon escaped with a handstand. Lana went a more aggressive route with a some forearm shots before whipping Nixon to the opposite corner. Nixon evaded a corner clothesline and delivered a knife edge chop. Nixon followed with a series of armdrags and a dropkick.

Lana took control with an eye gouge before trapping Nixon in the corner with a boot choke. Nixon got whipped to the opposite corner and received a charging clothesline. Lana continued her vicious assault, sending Nixon to the canvas twice with biel throws. She made a cocky cover to which Nixon kicked out at two. Lana delivered a snapmare and teased a charging kick but instead taunted Nixon and slapped her across the face. Lana made a cover but Nixon kicked out.

Nixon was punished with chokes and kicks as Lana goaded the crowd. Lana connected with another clothesline in the corner before Nixon took control catching her with a fallaway slam into a bridge for a two count. Lana got to her feet first and delivered another snapmare but got leg tripped when she went for a charge. Nixon paid Lana back for earlier unleashing a slap to the face of her own. Two charging forearms connected followed by a catching leg trip. Nixon wasted no time striking Lana down with The Shiniest Wizard.

Lana rolled onto her stomach upon impact, forcing Nixon to waste time rolling her over which allowed Lana to muster up enough to kick out of the pinfall attempt. Nixon went for a superkick but Lana ducked it and brought her opponent down with a bridging northern lights suplex for a two count. Lana signaled for her finisher, a twisting stunner called Kiss of Death, but Nixon countered with a superkick. The stunned Lana was drilled to the canvas by Nixon's roll of the dice. Nixon covered her opponent for the three count remaining Queen of Southside.
