Triple Threat at EVE Never Mind The Bollocks, Here's Pro-Wrestling: EVE

Nixon Newell would compete for Pro-Wrestling: EVE in a triple threat match against Alex Windsor and Kay Lee Ray on November 26th 2016 at Never Mind The Bollocks. Newell had an ongoing rivalry with Windsor. And had been both competing against and teaming up with KLR for a couple years. The three would meet in a triple threat match with a most unusual outcome at the unique Resistance Gallery venue. As Close as It Gets literally and not just a tagline cooked up in a meeting.

Newell was per usual overjoyed to interact with the London crowd who sung and clapped along with her to her theme music Cest La Vie. She gave a thumbs up to a "Nixon! Nixon Fucking Newell!" chant. Nixon was truly in festive spirits, even dancing along to the crowd's "Kay Lee. Kay Lee Fucking Ray!" chant.

Alex and Nixon had a shoving match to start. KLR landed a superkick on Windsor as she turned around. Nixon caught Windsor in her arms and handed her to KLR who handed her back off to Nixon who carried her back over to KLR -- giving whole new meaning to carrying your opponent. KLR decided to hand over Alex to the referee who put her down (with a drop) at her request.

Windsor took issue with the referee. Nixon and KLR laid down behind her. The referee pushed Alex who took a tumble over her opponents. Windsor came back at them getting sent to the canvas again by a double drop toe hold. Nixon feint kicked Alex to the floor and was alone in the ring with KLR. The two shook hands before a series of pinfall attempts and reversals were made between them. Windsor broke one up to reenter the fray before applying a reverse surfboard submission to both her opponents.

KLR and Newell regained control of the match, taking turns slapping Windsor in the face. Alex moved out of the way as Nixon flew at her, causing Newell to instead crossbody KLR. Windsor tried to backdrop Nixon who instead leapfrogged over her. Alex fell right into another superkick from KLR whom Nixon proceeded to strike with a superkick. Windsor followed suite taking Nixon down with a superkick before crashing to the mat herself. The three all did a kip-up at the same moment to the applause of the crowd.

After some hijinks involving crotch chops and that classic Degeneration X line, KLR and Nixon paid tribute to their future NXT boss striking Windsor with superkicks. KLR and Nixon failed to connect with kicks directed at each other but connected with headbutts that canvassed both. Forearms were exchanged between the three after they got up. Nixon hit a springboard Shiniest Wizard off KLR's back followed by another to KLR. Nixon tried to go for the pin but KLR slid out of the ring. Nixon went for the pin on Windsor who kicked out.

Nixon attempted to victory roll Alex for the win but KLR surprised both, insanely flying down from the balcony to Doomsday Device clothesline Newell off Windsor's shoulders. KLR rode her momentum and hit the KLR Bomb on Alex. Nixon managed to her feet and followed with the Shiniest Wizard. KLR and Nixon both tried to grab each other by the throat for a chokeslam and jockeyed to be the one to pull it off. Alex broke their grapple up, grabbing both KLR and Nixon by their throats intent on chokeslamming both. KLR and Nixon put a stop to that.

That was the beginning of the end for Alex. Nixon paid homage to Kane -- who was one of her favorite wrestlers growing up -- adjusting her imaginary glove for what comes next. But she wasn't going to do it alone. "The Sisters of Destruction" Kay Lee Ray and Nixon Newell both grabbed Alex by the throat and planted her to the canvas with a chokeslam. They covered her for the pin. The referee struck the mat three times with both his hands and the match was over. Nixon and KLR were unusually declared co-winners much to the crowd's delight.
