Pro-Wrestling: EVE presented London's first ever all female wrestling event properly titled Let's Make History! in March 2016. One of the featured matches saw Nixon Newell face sometimes rival, sometimes tag partner Kay Lee Ray. Both women were popular with the crowd who per usual sang and clapped along to Nixon's theme music C'est La Vie. Once the opening bell sounded, Nixon wasted no time going for the Welsh Destroyer. KLR countered into a rollup that started a lengthy, exciting chain of reversals and pin attempts.
Nixon and KLR both went for superkicks, resulting in their feet getting tangled up. They agreed to a moment truce to help each other free. Nixon was the first to strike after, nailing KLR with an enziguri followed by the Welsh Destroyer. But KLR rolled to the outside before Nixon could make a cover. Nixon took flight between the ropes for a tope only to be met by an enziguri. KLR decided to try a tope between the ropes herself, however she was met with an elbow strike. Nixon had a moment of respite to refuel, borrowing a fan's beer to take a swig.
The two would take their battle to the outside of the ring for an extended period of time, each taking turns reentering the ring briefly to break the referee's very lenient ten count. KLR got the first big shot on the floor slapping both her hands across Nixon's chest in what I'll nickname Alba Magnum. She followed with a swing around a support beam, dropping Nixon with a tiger feint kick. KLR didn't cool her fire down, throwing Nixon head first into a wall. She tried again but this time Nixon blocked with her foot and tossed KLR head first into the wall.
Nixon borrowed a fan, sitting KLR on his back so she could drop her with a shotgun dropkick. The brawl continued around the ring with KLR taking control with a huracarrana. Nixon took charge again, tossing KLR into the nearby wall with a running start. As KLR managed to her feet, Newell hid behind a curtain and struck the unsuspecting KLR with a Thesz press and punches. Nixon returned to the ring only to take flight back outside, hitting KLR with a tope between the ropes.
Newell rolled KLR into the ring but not for long. She came at Newell through the ropes, taking her down with a tope of her own that sent Nixon crashing a few feet away from where she was standing. Nixon took control when KLR climbed to the top rope for a move, bringing her down with a superplex. KLR caught Nixon in the KLR Bomb off a forearm smash but Newell slid off and positioned KLR for the Welsh Destroyer. KLR broke that up with a crescent kick to the face.
KLR connected some though not all with a moonsault from the second rope. She went for a springboard move but saw Nixon coming and leapfrogged over her from the rope. Nixon caught her with a superkick as she landed, followed by a German suplex with a bridge for only a two count. KLR moved out of the corner as Newell charged, climbing to the top rope. KLR flew off hoping for a crossbody but got cut off by Nixon's codebreaker. KLR kicked out of Nixon's pin attempt overly frustrating Newell.
Nixon set KLR up for the Welsh Destroyer looking to finish this. But KLR countered with a backdrop. She connected with an enziguri and the KLR Bomb followed by a swanton bomb from the top rope. That chain of offense kept Nixon down giving KLR the pinfall victory. KLR helped Nixon to her feet after. They embraced before Nixon raised the winner's arm.
