The last time Nixon Newell stepped into the ring against "The Demon Assassin" Rosemary, she was screwed over by Toni Storm. That resulted in Nixon being robbed of the British Empire Women's Championship. I feel like I should declare that on this website: Nixon Newell is still recognized as the BEW Women's Champion. But I choose not to hold such a grudge so I will move on, never speaking of that screwjob again. Toni Storm has been forgiven unless she ever kayfabe wrongs Nixon Newell or King Kota.
Nixon was in good spirits having returned from her first tour of Japan and having racked up some impressive wins on the UK scene. Rosemary tossed a chair into the ring during her entrance which Nixon immediately carried over to the bar to subtly remind her opponent that this was a regular one on one match with rules. Once the bell rang, Rosemary slithered to the floor and scared a young kid out of his seat so she could confiscate it to use against Nixon since she thought this was a Purge Match. In a very polite manner, Nixon told Rosemary that was last time -- this time it's a triple threat match. Nixon proceeded to remove the chair from the ring, walking it over to the young fan it was taken from. The crowd reacted to the adorable moment. As for the kid: He sat in another chair, perhaps mortified that Rosemary placed a hex on the one she took. Or else he was at the age where he thought Nixon had cooties and he'd catch them.
Upon reentering the ring, Nixon "reminded" Rosemary that this was a triple threat match. She was actually able to fool The Demon Assassin into looking the other way at "their third opponent" long enough to cunningly get in some strikes and kicks followed by a running huracarrana and dropkick. Rosemary retreated to the floor to shake off Nixon's attack. Nixon looked to floor Rosemary with a running PK but her leg was caught and she was swept face first to the apron. Nixon fell into the same chair she had brought back, greeted by a chop from the Demon Assassin.
Rosemary stalked Nixon to the other side of the ring and slapped her with an even more brutal sounding chop. She followed it up smashing Nixon's face into the ring apron and even that notable chair. Rosemary reentered the ring with the referee asking her to remain so he could start the ten count on Nixon. Rosemary took offense, trapping the official in the corner. The distraction gave Nixon a chance to take control with some forearm shots before Rosemary struck her with a big boot. Rosemary tied Newell up in the rope-hung crab for a few seconds before having to break the hold to avoid disqualification. The Demon Assassin didn't let up, unloading a fury of strikes on Newell.
The referee warned Rosemary to not get too aggressive, causing her to trap him in a corner again. She laughed it off though, gently patting him on his head before tossing Newell over her with an exploder suplex. Nixon and Rosemary tried to waffle each other with kicks, both ducking until their second go where they big booted each other to the canvas. Nixon got to her feet first and unloaded offense on Rosemary including an enzuigiri from the apron and crossbody off the top.
Nixon went for the Welsh Destroyer but Rosemary tried to backdrop her instead. Newell almost reversed course for a moment until The Demon Assassin overpowered her, dropping her to the canvas. Nixon made her way to her feet only to turn around and nearly get cut in half by a spear. Rosemary went for a cover but Nixon kicked out. Rosemary lifted Nixon up on her shoulders for the F5 but Nixon slipped off, successfully executing the Shiniest Wizard. Nixon went for the cover but Rosemary rose up in demonic manner, freaking Nixon out. But Nixon quickly brushed her mind games off, striking Rosemary with another Shiniest Wizard. This time Rosemary didn't rise up but she did kick out at two when Nixon covered her for the pin.
Rosemary pushed Nixon off as she went for the Welsh Destroyer a second time. Nixon ducked as the Demon Assassin lunged at her intending to spray her with blue mist. The referee instead got the mist in his eyes, briefly taken out of play. Nixon smashed Rosemary with a fierce headbutt before spiking her to the canvas with the Welsh Destroyer. But there was no referee to make the count. As Nixon tried to get the referee to come to his senses, a fan handed Rosemary an object. The same fan called out to Nixon, shamelessly flirting with her. He pulled open his shirt to reveal a black handprint over his heart. Rosemary had him in her grasp doing her bidding.
The Demon Assassin struck Nixon over the back of her neck with the object, knocking her out cold. The referee came to it and registered the three count after Rosemary covered Nixon hooking both legs. The victorious Rosemary stared at Nixon with a sinister laugh as Newell rolled out of the ring. This would be Nixon Newell's final match in British Empire Wrestling and the beginning of the end of her first run as an independent wrestler.
