November 1, 2025. Edinburg, Texas. Bert Ogden Arena. AEW Fright Night Collision. A week prior, Nixon Newell & Miranda Alize picked a fight with TayJay setting up a tag team match. But instead of TayJay, Newell & Alize got first dibs at the newly formed terrifying force of Megan Bayne & Marina Shafir. Nixon and Marina are no strangers to each other, however neither has ever faced this deadlier incarnation of the other. Bayne, who is nicknamed The Megasus, claims to hail from Mount Olympus and… I’m not going to debate her on that.

Nixon & Miranda came out to the ring together, not shy about their passion for each other, which was sweet. I have to say, these chronicles rarely get a touch of romance so this was a welcome sight to see before the combat commenced. Now, Miranda has competed in AEW on a number of occasions but this marked Nixon’s AEW in-ring debut. It’s too the first time Nixon has competed in a match televised on cable in the United States since April 1, 2024.

Newell & Alize attacked Bayne & Shafir at the bell with the force of a Dragon and Shark. Alize shouldered Shafir to the floor. Newell slapped some of the immortality out of Bayne’s chest with two nasty Welsh smackers. Bayne reversed Nixon’s Irish whip to the opposite corner, however Newell evaded Megan’s big splash. Miranda hit a running uppercut on Megan then whipped Nixon to deliver one of her own. Alize & Newell tripped Bayne in the corner. Bayne got smashed flush to the face with Alize’s running face wash. Nixon flipped Shafir the middle finger then did some smashing of her own with Cannonboar to Bayne.

Shafir charged Alize with a barrage of knee strikes. Nixon caught Alize off Shafir’s Irish whip in wheelbarrow position, tossing her onto Marina’s shoulders for a hurracarana. Another double team followed, Newell using Miranda as a springboard to crush Shafir with a double stomp, sending Marina to the floor. The crowd gave Newell & Alize a well-deserved applause. So far the terrifying force of Bayne & Shafir were the ones getting terrified! Alize & Newell ducked Bayne’s clothesline. Nixon staggered The Megasus with a thrust kick.

Newell & Alize were about to revel in their dominance with a kiss. But it was Bayneblocked, The Megasus pulling Newell into a waistlock for a German suplex. Miranda tried to pull her girlfriend into the safety of her arms, only for Bayne to join Alize into the waistlock, deadlifting both over her head to the canvas with a German suplex. FUCKING OUCH! Bayne tagged Shafir who unleashed on Nixon with hard kicks and a slam. Alize made a last gasp effort for their team, only for it to be mashed with a big boot from Shafir.

Shafir tagged in Bayne. The Megasus toyed letting Newell tag out only to lift her up and crash her back down with the running Liger Bomb. Marina wrapped Alize in Mother’s Milk to restrain her as Bayne covered Newell to score the pinfall victory. Bayne & Shafir may have dominated the end and won, however Nixon & Miranda showed a dominance of their own in the beginning. Nixon Newell & Miranda Alize still got business to conduct in the ring with TayJay, so hopefully we’ve not seen the last of wrestling’s shiniest couple in AEW.
