The Shiniest Newell Year 2026 | When Wizards & Balls Collide
AWE Roar | Violent Romance vs. Chemical X

March 15, 2026. Marietta, Georgia. El Palenque Event Center. AWE Roar. Nixon Newell & Shotzi Blackheart were once a tag team collectively known as The Lady Wizardballs. They rode together on a tank, continuously pulling hair from the nose. Their run ended abruptly in October 2021. Much has changed since. The former teammates have formed teams with different partners. For Nixon it’s her partner in life, her fiancée Miranda Alize, together known as Violent Romance. For Shotzi it’s been her frenemy Priscilla Kelly, two chaotic peas in a pod, who when tag partners are Chemical X. It was fitting this first-time ever tag team match would headline Atlanta Wrestling Entertainment’s all-women’s event Roar.

Prior to the opening bell, a bit of playfulness ensued with road wives Shotzi & PK striking a pose to which Nixon intruded upon, inviting Miranda to join her for one of their own. Instead, Alize pulled her partner to their corner, clearly not feeling the humor. The bell rang, Alize and PK locking up for their respective teams. Only briefly. Enter Nixon and Shotzi. The crowd wanted to see it. They acknowledged each other. It was time for The Lady Wizardballs to EXPLOAD! Or would it be a sporting, competitive spar? Perhaps the later, because after Nixon caught Shotzi with a brutal right hand, she went OOPS. Or not. Nixon exploded. coming at her former teammate with a barrage of intense strikes followed by two arm drags. Newell put the goozle on Shotzi, ready for a chokeslam. Shotzi broke free, exploding with intense strikes of her followed by a discus forearm.

Shotzi signaled for some ballsy offense, which Newell pleaded against to no avail. Blackheart legdropped Nixon “in the goalpost” (to quote the commentary) followed by a running dropkick there. Nixon hopped around the ring in excruciating pain, answering the age-old question: Does it hurt women to get hit there too?. Shotzi got Nixon with two arm drags then tagged in PK. Shotzi staggered Nixon with a ballsy feint kick, making her prone for PK’s top rope crossbody into a cover for two. Newell tagged out. PK dropkicked Alize to a corner, landing the bronco buster. Nixon tried to intervene, tripped over and onto Alize, both on the receiving end of another PK bronco buster.

PK held Alize over the middle rope so Shotzi could land the inverted senton to Miranda’s back, PK following with a dropkick that sent Alize to the floor. Chemical X Irish whipped for dives, only for Violent Romance to cut that off with brutal fists. Alize gave herself a pat on the back, making Barry Horrowitz proud. The action continued on the floor. Shotzi sat Nixon in a chair for charging offense, only for Newell to catch her with a drop toe hold onto the steel. Alize picked a kid out of the audience, using him as a dropkick to floor PK. Nixon and Shotzi brawled on top the bar. Shotzi got the better of Nixon striking her to the floor, continuing with a double sledge off the bar. PK gave a whole new meaning to flower power, raking Alize’s eyes with the thorns of PK’s trademark black rose.

Shotzi needed to rehydrate with an adult beverage, but to no luck I’d assume due to the bar closing early akin to at the ballpark. Or do they still do that in 2026? Anyway… Nixon convinced her current tag partner and former tag partner to have a seat for a clean trade of open fisted blows. It was sporting yet brutal, ending with headbutts exchanged. Newell and PK pulled up chairs of their own. Alize shook Shotzi’s hand while Newell did the same to PK. The two pairings traded blows, a brutal yet respectful exchange. Enter nastiness… PK kicked Nixon off the chair. Miranda hurried over to check on Nixon. Shotzi interrupted with a stomping kick to Alize’s back, toppling her off Nixon. The respectful nature of this contest had taken a nasty turn thanks to Chemical X… but not until Miranda decided to fulfill Shotzi’s drink request.

Violent Romance returned the action to the ring, after all this was a wrestling match. PK was down and out, having been tossed into chairs by Alize. Shotzi was tripped by Alize, prone to Newell’s ruthless PK… which wasn’t to PK… which means I didn’t get to do that line… except I sort of still did. Where was I? Ah yes, Alize added insult to injury adorning her head with Shotzi’s legendary horned helmet, revving up a blow to the bread basket. Alize returned horny to its wearer, proceeding to land standing shoulder tackles in the corner which caused the helmet to fall off Shotzi.

PK had come to it, managing up to the ring apron until Miranda struck her back to the floor with a blow. Nixon tagged in, kicking Shotzi in the corner followed by painfully standing on Blackheart’s throat as Shotzi remained slumped. Nixon encouraged the referee’s attention over to PK who had made her way back onto the ring apron. I have no doubt Nixon was just being cautious, perhaps suspecting PK might be plotting to pull something out of her tights for an assist… Alize took advantage of the moment, choking Shotzi.

Newell held Shotzi in a hold, doing the tag taunt thing so close yet so far from PK. Nixon switched up to a straight jacket choke. Shotzi broke free, but Nixon rebounded swiftly with a brutal clothesline. Shotzi caught a charging Nixon with a kick followed by some blows. Nixon was down, Shotzi now with a chance to make that desperate tag. Alize pulled PK off the ring apron. The crowd who had clear bias in favor of PK because she once cut her teeth in AWE didn’t approve, turning on Violent Romance. Turning on the guests in your house… that is disrespect AWE crowd, DISRESPECT. This Chronicler doesn’t approve. Back to the match… Shotzi kicked off Nixon’s effort to stop her only for Newell to again rebound with offense, this time a clothesline to the back of Shotzi’s neck.

Shotzi fought her way out of the corner, only for Nixon to canvas her off an Irish whip with the leg lariat for two on the cover. Alize tagged in and corner charged with an uppercut followed by Nixon charging in with one of her own. Miranda nearly took Shotzi’s head off with a running facewash. Newell wrapped up this corner carnage with Cannonboar. Alize with the cover for two. Into the corner they went, Alize biting Shotzi’s fingers. Alize Irish whip slapped the hell out of Shotzi. Nixon tagged in and canvassed Shotzi with a gourdbuster. Newell revved up with thankfully SOME crowd support for another Cannonboar, sadly this time Shotzi got out of the way at the very last second.

Newell fired back with a charge, caught with a swinging neckbreaker. The long crawls followed by the hot tags. PK with a short arm STO to Miranda, keeping her grip on Alize to lift up Alize and canvas her with a powerbomb for two. Shotzi was tagged in. PK waffled Alize’s skull with a kick. Shotzi with the feint kick. PK with a codebreaker. Shotzi with a backcracker. Nixon broke up Shotzi’s cover, keeping Violent Romance in the fight. Shotzi was prone for a double team chokeslam courtesy of Violent Romance followed by stereo superkicks. Shotzi blocked Alize’s suplex attempt, luring Nixon in to attempt a double team suplex on her former teammate. Shotzi countered, spiking Violent Romance with a DDT.

Shotzi tagged in PK, who again waffled Alize with a kick to the skull. Nixon came in smashing PK with an uppercut. Shotzi sent Nixon to the canvas with a feint kick. Alize canvassed Shotzi with a ripcord cutter but was too winded to make the cover. PK and Alize came to it first, trading blows. Alize with a step up enzuigeri. PK with a superkick that sent Alize to her knees prone so PK could un-regally hit a knee trembler. A cover was made. 1-2-Nixon makes the super-duper (© IYO SKY) desperate save with the sheer luck of many pantheon’s of deities no doubt on her side.

PK was about to have a tantrum, no doubt entitlement issues being “back home”. Some buffoon in the audience who was playing corner man to Chemical X argued the referee’s call. Nixon justifiably socked that fool to the floor, reminding him to know his fucking place. Shotzi sent Nixon into the chairs with a wrecking ball dropkick. PK had taken her eyes off Alize who rolled her up for the 1-2-3. And Your Winners are Violent Romance. The crowd wasn’t happy, having a clear bias against the visitors. Except for some of the kids to whom Nixon and Miranda were still THEIR HEROES. Alize & Newell celebrated with a young girl, Miranda also high fiving the tyke who earlier gave PK that assisted dropkick.

The Lady Wizardballs went to war. It began with some respect, then got VERY UGLY. I’d say it was a good night… a very good and violent night of fighting. It was the Main Event. The crowd got their monies worth for an affordable price. This Chronicler cannot foresee if the former Lady Wizardballs will ever make amends and have a final hurrah, but it’s clear that when on opposing sides, it’s balls to the wall pulling nose hairs between them.
