March 3rd 2023. Capital One Arena. Washington, DC. SmackDown. It was supposed to be Tegan Nox & Natalya versus Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler. But a backstage brawl resulted in Nox injuring Ronda's arm changing the proceedings to a singles match between Nox and Baszler. Years ago in NXT, Shayna taunted Nox to do something worth talking about if she wanted a shot at the NXT Women's Championship. That time is long past but defeating Baszler now would still be a statement victory for Tegan. Shayna was set on breaking Nox's arm per Ronda's orders.

The bell rang. Natalya watched from ringside as Nox ducked a charging clothesline from Shayna, shooting back with a shotgun dropkick. Running PK to the chest. Charging Cannonboar in the corner. Mounted punches. Baszler got free, grabbing Nox's arm. Tegan brought her legs up and took Shayna to the canvas with a headscissors. Roundhouse kick to the skull. Nox came at Shayna with a jump knee strike but got caught, whipped face first to the canvas. Shayna went to work on Nox's arm with a stomp but missed a running knee in the corner.

Tegan unleashed a series of blows on Shayna only to get kicked in the arm. Baszler grabbed the arm she had put her focus on, delivering a nasty snap. Shayna grabbed Nox up by the hurt arm but got waffled off with a kick to the head. Headbutt from Tegan. Shayna shook it off and arm whipped Nox to the canvas. Baszler lost focus for a moment staring at Natalya, giving Nox one last hope with a small package. Baszler kicked out at two and went for the kill, pulverizing Nox flush to the chin with the murder knee strike. Shayna applied the armbar and Nox quickly tapped.

Natalya comforted Tegan in her arms as she laid in anguish outside the ring. Nox expressed concern Shayna broke her arm. Tegan and Natalya stood up to The Murderers' Row of SmackDown. Nox even wounded Ronda. But at least for the moment, Shayna managed to one-up them by defeating and putting a hurting on Tegan. Time will tell if The Absolute Unit and Queen of Harts continue their crusade against Ronda and Shayna.
