Fight and Play

Tegan Nox was drafted to Monday Night RAW during Night 2 of the 2023 WWE Draft. May 18th 2023. Greensboro Coliseum. Greensboro, North Carolina. WWE Main Event. We know from her recent time on SmackDown that Tegan Nox came back to WWE looking for a good fight. Nikki Cross always wants to play. So shall it be. Tegan Nox would make her WWE Main Event debut against show regular Nikki Cross. Nox was looking for her first televised win as a member of the RAW roster while Cross looked to continue her Main Event winning streak.

Nox said back in January no more Mr. Nice Guy Tegan. She cemented prior to this match against Nikki that any remains of the nice girl looking for a fight she was in the past are gone. Like the Welsh Red Dragon, she's going to beat people up and enjoy it. If this match was any indication of it, a bit sadistically. I don't blame her. Clinging onto some niceness got her abandoned by three tag team partners since her return in December. We saw a hint of this nastier Nox when she knocked around one of her ingrate ex-tag team partners Liv Morgan on SmackDown in March.

Tegan showed no fear of Cross insanely beating the canvas with her ring jacket, instead looked insulted. The opening bell rang. They locked up, grappling to the corner. Nox waited until the count of four to observe the rope break, throwing in a nasty push. Cross pushed back. Nox grabbed Cross in a standing headlock. Cross fought out, sending Nox to the ropes. Tegan hit the ropes chest first, falling back in a topple over Cross who had dropped down to the canvas. Cross playfully reacted which just pissed Tegan off. One does not try to make a fool out of a dragon.

Nox furiously came at Cross who caught her in a roll-up for two. Tegan fired back with armdrags followed by an aggressive running uppercut that knocked Cross to the corner. Nox bashed Cross face first into the top turnbuckle. Nikki evaded a splash. But when Cross tried for one her own, Nox dropped her to the apron. Cross hung on avoiding a fall. She climbed up the ropes only to get knocked from the second to the apron by an uppercut. Nox sent her crashing to the floor with a basement dropkick. Tegan slyly pointed to her head, having outsmarted Cross.

Tegan continued her aggressive assault with a gourdbuster. Nox went for a pin, wagging her tongue as if she were bathing her with fire. Cross kicked out which just angered Nox who mounted Nikki, unleashing a series of vicious blows. Nox continued, stomping a mudhole in the corner before finishing with a nasty savate kick. The foolish fans decided to favor Cross, drawing Tegan's amusement. She took a moment to boo hoo those fools. Nox motioned the crowd to shut up so she could take in the lush sound of her foot cracking Cross across the back with a PK.

Cross felt Tegan's arm wrap around her neck, playfully at first before the grip tightened. Nikki escaped with a jawbreaker. Cross unleashed some offense including spiking Nox with a tornado DDT. Nikki went for the twisting neckbreaker she calls The Purge but Nox blocked it, smashing her to the canvas with a headbutt. Nox wanted a German suplex that Cross countered into a victory roll for two. Cross caught Nox with a kick followed by The Purge to get a pinfall victory. It was a loss for Tegan Nox but her aggression a fair warning to everyone to fear The Welsh Dragon.
