The Welsh Dragon landed in Canada for a re-match against Natalya. The third generation Canadian had clashed with Nox on the June 15, 2023 episode of Main Event. Nox got a measure of vengeance for Natalya's abandonment of her as a tag team partner. She even outsmarted her at every turn. But the Queen of Harts got lucky, trapping Nox in the sharpshooter for the win. Nox took a defeat to fight another day and that day has come. Canada might be Natalya's home and native land, however her dungeon has been infiltrated by a vengeful Welsh Dragon.

August 17, 2023. Canada Life Centre. Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. WWE Main Event. Natalya tried to stall for time, teasing a t-shirt throw to the crowd. Nox who doesn't even have a t-shirt on WWE Shop stopped that. Natalya should thank her because no freebies means the number at the very, very end of her royal check will be higher. Tegan went to work, pounding and kicking away. Natalya fought back, trying to lock in the sharpshooter. Nox managed to the ropes, rolling to the floor for respite. Natalya didn't allow it with a baseball slide dropkick.

Natalya pulled Nox up by the hair to toss her back into the ring. Go figure, the same ruffian referee who was biased against Tegan last week didn't notice that illegality. On a better note, Nox shot back with fire striking Natalya to the canvas with a nasty kick as she re-entered the ring. Natalya made her way to the corner where Nox gave her some boot choke. Nox continued to control the battle, pummeling Natalya across the back with a barrage of blows as she strung over the ropes. Natalya got face-smashed to the top turnbuckle. A suplex for two on the cover.

Nox didn't take kindly to that kick out, slapping Natalya across the back of her head followed by some trash talk. By the way: Byron Saxton LIES claiming Tegan stabbed Natalya in the back. We all know it was Natalya who ditched Tegan. Back to the action. Natalya fought to her feet out of a headlock into a roll-up only to get mowed back to the canvas by a nasty clothesline. Nox went for a cover but Natalya kicked out. This time Nox took even less kindly, giving a thumbs down and nearly smashing Natalya's brains in with a stomp to the head.

Natalya punched Nox to the corner in desperation. Nox shot back, kicking her in the gut and smashing her head first into the second turnbuckle with a flatliner. Canonboar. Standing uppercut. Natalya fought back. BAM! Tegan smashed her jaw, knocking her to the canvas. Nox applied another headlock, wrenching it in as tight as she could. Natalya fought to her feet, tossing Nox off. The rope-assisted atomic drop followed by that running basement dropkick where she grossly stomps on the opponent's head prior. Natalya went for a cover but Nox kicked out at two.

Tegan took control with the ole throat thrust. Natalya was Irish-whipped to the ropes but rebounded, striking Nox down with a discus lariat. Nox cleverly fought off the sharpshooter, grabbing her own knee and using the momentum to push Natalya to the canvas. The sitout gourdbuster for two. Nox was pissed as hell. What was it going to take to put Natalya away? She charged for a second Canonboar, however Natalya moved out of the way. Natalya applied the damned sharpshooter and Nox tapped to fight another day.

Natalya refused to break the sharpshooter at the ring of the victory bell, keeping it applied for a few more seconds. The referee should have reversed the decision, giving Nox the win by disqualification. As far as I'm concerned, this was a tainted victory in her home country thanks to a biased referee. Like Natalya's Uncle Bret Hart once said: "THIS IS BULLSHIT!" Tegan Nox proved she was The Head Dragon in Charge, fighting to her last. She deserves our respect and applause, however the referee's officiating is lucky to get -5/10 stars.
