August 20th 2021. Footprint Center. Phoenix, Arizona. SmackDown. The WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Natalya & Tamina were set to face Shotzi & Nox for a third time in tag team action. Once again, this was a Championship Contenders Match where if Shotzi & Nox won, they would be considered for a future tag team title match. Shotzi & Nox had defeated the champions twice including in a previous contenders match. Nox even scored a win over Tamina. They had more than earned a tag team title match but instead were running through hoops.

It was SummerSlam Eve. Certainly a fourth win over the champions during this huge weekend would be what it took for management to finally grant the challengers that title opportunity they had more than already earned. Shotzi & Nox were seemingly patient, willing to prove their Dragonglass yet again. The champs took advantage at the start with Tamina knocking Nox off the apron to the floor. Shotzi fought back in-between being pummeled by the champions. When Nox came to it, she took Tamina out of play with a running crossbody off the apron.

Shotzi countered Natalya's sharpshooter attempt with a school boy roll up to score The Lady Wizardballs fourth consecutive victory over the tag team champions. Without Tegan Nox even getting tagged into the match. Tegan had defeated Tamina on her own. Shotzi handled both on her own here as Nox would if she had to. Tegan screamed back at the champs they defeated them three times. The message was loud and clear and this Chronicler of Tegan Nox's Story is breaking the rules to not shy away from personal opinion on "creative matters" here in Chapter 8.

In a WWE Digital Exclusive, interviewer Megan Morant even admitted the elephant in the room, questioning what Shotzi & Nox had to do to earn their title match. Nox felt a talk with WWE official Sonya Deville was in order. Shotzi & Nox reminded everyone they beat the champions three and a half times, counting the singles victory as a half. I still say it's four but we'll run with three and a half. Shotzi declared it was time they got their opportunity. Since Shotzi carried her last week, this time Nox let Shotzi catch a ride on her back. Destination: Speak with Sonya.
